My husband, Fred and I have 2 beautiful daughters, Ava who is 11 and in 5th grade and Livi, who completed our family and will be 6 years old in August.
I completed my undergraduate elementary education degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. I have taught in several districts. Coppell ISD, Kilgore ISD, Hallsville ISD and New Diana ISD. I completed my Master's in Educational Leadership degree with Principal Certification in 2014 through SFASU.
Over the years since earning my leadership degree, I have had many opportunities to use and sharpen my leadership skills. I have learned the importance of listening to others and their needs, how to manage different personalities among team members, how to find and highlight strengths in others, and keep conversations focused on student's best interest and needs. I am currently getting my Masters in School Counseling and see how my love for leadership can be joined with my love of students by being the school counselor.
Please refer to the Leadership Experience tab for more detailed information regarding the leadership roles I have held and the experience I have been fortunate enough to gain.
